Cookies

A cookie is a small file a site places in your browser to recognise you from one page to the next. KingMath uses three, and only when they are needed. They belong to our site alone: no other company can read them.

• 🔐 Adult sign-in

Keeps a parent or teacher signed in from page to page. It holds a random token, with no name or email address. It is only set after signing in, and page scripts cannot read it.

Lasts: 7 days, extended when you come back to the site.

  To erase it: sign out.

  Technical name: __Secure-easymath.session_token

• 🎮 Child mode

Shows that a parent has switched this device to child mode: all it allows is choosing a profile from the family. It holds a random token, with no nickname. It is only set if a parent turns on child mode, and page scripts cannot read it.

  Lasts: 30 days.

To erase it: “Leave child mode”.

  Technical name: easymath.device

• 🌍 Language

Remembers whether you read the site in French or English. It holds only “fr” or “en”.

Lasts: until you close the browser.

To erase it: close the browser.

  Technical name: NEXT_LOCALE

Your browser's storage

Three other items stay in this device's browser. They are not sent to the server with each page. Here you can see whether they are present, and erase them.

• 🏆 Aces League choice in demo mode

  …

The sport and country chosen without an account. With a child profile, this choice is kept on the profile, not here.

  Lasts: until you erase it.

  Technical name: kingmath-league

• 🎯 Focus mode session

  …

The session prepared for playing without Internet: the child's nickname, the questions with their expected answers (to mark them offline), the child's answers and progress.

Lasts: until the session ends and the results are sent, or until you erase it.

  Technical name: easymath.focus.v1

• 📦 Offline mode files

  …

A small “No Internet” page, stored from the first visit. When a session is prepared, a copy of the focus mode page and the site's technical files (layout, scripts) are added, so it opens without a connection. No personal data: the small program that manages this copy (the “service worker”) keeps neither your personal pages nor your answers.

Lasts: until you erase it. Offline mode sets itself up again the next time a session is prepared.

  Technical name: easymath-v2

And on our servers?

Your account, the children's profiles, their results and their rewards are not on your device: they are in our database, in Frankfurt (Germany). You can reset or delete them from the parent area.

Your choices

Why no “Accept or refuse” banner? Because all of these items are strictly necessary for the service you ask for: French law requires no consent in that case (article 82 of the Data Protection Act). There is nothing else to accept.

You can also block or erase cookies in your browser settings. The demo exercises will stay available, but sign-in and child mode will stop working.

If we ever added a non-essential tool, we would ask for your consent first, and this page would be updated.
